HPC Hackathon

 October 21 8 PM – October 24 8 AM, 2022

Are you interested in learning how to optimize your code? Do you have experience in C or C++, but don’t know much about MPI for HPC (Message Passing Interface for High Performance Computing)? Read on!

Our chapter is excited to announce our next event – a BEGINNER FRIENDLY high-performance computing hackathon! We aim for our hackathon to act as a 3 weeklong bootcamp to learn HPC skills, ending with a 72-hour hackathon where every team applies the skills they learned to the same HPC challenge.

Hackathon: October 21 8pm to October 24 8am

There will be a prize for the winning Hackathon team, determined by best performance against HPC benchmarks.

A bit about us: Women in High-Performance Computing @ GT chapter was launched in Dec. 2020 and successfully ran for over a year! We hosted a virtual panel discussion with six well-known HPC researchers from all around the world in March 2021, a virtual seminar with three Georgia Tech HPC researchers in November 2021, and a HPC poster competition for students in April 2021.
